Liu Shulan, a renowned and experienced nitrogen expert said that in the past 10 years, China’s nitrogen fertilizer has achieved rapid development, with major changes being the growth on production capacity and output, breakthroughs on readjustment of raw material structure, significant consolidation of the industry, and considerable development of new nitrogen products.

However, along with the development, there are also problems in the nitrogen industry: overcapacity, potential removal or changes with the preferential policies over the industry; possible export policy changes with urea; off-season storage policy; & the impact of agicultural industrialization on the fertlizer sector.
