Liu Shulan, a renowned and experienced nitrogen expert said that in the past 10 years, China’s nitrogen fertilizer had achieved rapid development, with major changes being the growth on production capacity and output, breakthroughs on readjustment of raw material structure, significant consolidation of the industry, and considerable development of new nitrogen products.

However, along with the development, there are also problems in the nitrogen industry: overcapacity, potential changes of the existing preferential policies on nitrogen, changes with the export policy, policy on off-season storage, and the impact of agricultural industrialization on the fertilizer sector.
