Recently Sinofert sponsored the Kickoff Meeting and Seminar on Implementation Plan of “Research and Application of High Efficiency Specialty Fertilizer for Regional Grain Crops”, a National Science & Technology Topic. 30 R&D people from Sinofert, Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), Institute of Applied Ecology of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), South China Agricultural University, and Sinochem Fuling, a subsidiary of Sinofert, attended the meeting.

The topic of “Research and Application of High Efficiency Specialty Fertilizer for Regional Grain Crops”is a sub-topic of “"Bohai Sea Granary" by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, targeting such issues as scarcity of fresh water and soil salinization in the middle and low yield area of Pan-Bohai Sea, focusing on making breakthroughs on key technologies with regards to soil, fertilizer, water and seed, & building demonstration zone of grain yield increase, in order to significantly enhance grain increase potentials in the middle and low yield farmland of Pan-Bohai Sea.

During the meeting, as a member of China Association for Quality Inspection, Sinofert’s delegate who is in charge of the topic introduced on the general arrangement and specific requirements for the different studies of the topic from various aspects. Ouyang Zhu from Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Zhao Ming and Pang Huancheng from Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), Cao Yiping from China Agricultural University (CAU), & Sun Wanzeng from China Academy of Railway Sciences were hired as consultants for the topic. Valuable suggestions from these experts were provided during the meeting.
